🔍 Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic professional to lead grinding operations in taper roller manufacturing. This role is critical in driving quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and delivery performance while ensuring full compliance with IATF standards.
🚀 Key Responsibilities
👥 Team Leadership & Development
Lead and mentor operators, supervisors, and engineers
Build a culture of accountability, discipline, and ownership
Drive training, skill development, and succession planning
Ensure adherence to safety and shop floor discipline
⚙️ Technical Expertise – Grinding
Expert in taper roller grinding (OD, Bore, Face, Profile Control)
Monitor critical parameters: taper angle, roundness, surface finish
Troubleshoot machine/process issues effectively
Support new product development & PPAP validation
📊 Production & Performance Management
Deliver production targets (daily/monthly)
Monitor KPIs: OEE, productivity, rejection, downtime
Optimize machine utilization & reduce cycle time
📋 Quality & IATF Compliance
Ensure implementation of PFMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plan
Maintain traceability and process discipline
Lead 8D, root cause analysis & CAPA implementation
Reduce customer complaints and internal rejection
🔧 TPM Implementation
Drive TPM pillars and maintenance culture
Improve MTBF, MTTR, and machine reliability
Promote autonomous maintenance practices
📉 Lean & Continuous Improvement
Lead Kaizen and cost-saving projects
Implement 5S, SMED, and waste reduction initiatives
Enhance productivity and eliminate non-value activities
🎯 Strategy Deployment (X-Matrix)
Align departmental goals with company strategy
Track KPIs and drive execution excellence
📦 Production Planning & Coordination
Work closely with PPC for scheduling and delivery
Ensure smooth material flow and WIP control
🤝 Customer & Audit Handling
Manage customer communication and audits
Ensure timely closure of quality issues
🏭 Systems & Discipline
Maintain audit readiness (IATF/ISO)
Enforce SOPs and standard work practices
🧠 Key Skills Required
Strong leadership with ownership mindset
Expertise in taper roller grinding processes
In-depth knowledge of IATF systems
Hands-on experience in TPM & Lean Manufacturing
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Effective communication and team coordination
