🧭 Position Overview
The SCM Manager / Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end supply chain operations including procurement planning, inventory management, logistics coordination, vendor management, and production support. The role requires strong coordination skills to ensure smooth material flow, cost optimization, and timely delivery in an automotive components manufacturing environment.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain & Planning
Manage end-to-end supply chain activities to ensure uninterrupted production
Coordinate with production planning, stores, purchase, and logistics teams
Monitor material availability and inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock
Ensure timely dispatches and coordination with transport/logistics partners
Procurement & Vendor Coordination
Coordinate with suppliers for timely material delivery
Monitor supplier performance related to quality, cost, and delivery
Support vendor development and alternate source identification
Follow up on pending orders and critical materials
Inventory & Logistics Management
Optimize inventory levels and improve inventory turnover
Monitor inward and outward material movement
Ensure proper warehouse coordination and stock accuracy
Reduce logistics and operational costs through effective planning
Process Improvement & ERP Management
Improve SCM processes for better efficiency and cost control
Maintain accurate SCM MIS reports and documentation
Utilize ERP/SAP systems for planning, inventory, and tracking
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards
Team Coordination
Coordinate with production, quality, finance, and dispatch teams
Lead and guide SCM executives and store personnel
Ensure timely issue resolution and smooth operational flow
