## About the Role

A leading Auto Parts Manufacturing MNC is looking for an experienced **VMC Operator cum Programmer** with strong expertise in CNC/VMC programming, machine setup, operation, and process optimization. Candidates from Tool Room, Tool & Die, Mould Manufacturing, Precision Engineering, and Automotive Component industries will be preferred.

## Key Responsibilities

✔ Develop and execute 2D programming for VMC machining operations.

✔ Independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot VMC machines.

✔ Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and technical specifications.

✔ Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters.

✔ Perform machine setup, tool offset adjustments, and prove-out activities.

✔ Monitor machining processes to ensure dimensional accuracy and required surface finish.

✔ Optimize machining cycles to improve productivity and machining efficiency.

✔ Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.

✔ Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams for smooth operations.

✔ Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.

✔ Maintain machine records, housekeeping, and production documentation.

## Required Skills & Knowledge

✔ Hands-on experience in VMC Programming and Operations.

✔ Strong knowledge of 2D Programming.

✔ Experience in Tool & Die Manufacturing Industry will be preferred.

✔ Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.

✔ Sound knowledge of cutting tools, tooling concepts, fixtures, and machining parameters.

✔ Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as:

* Vernier Caliper
* Micrometer
* Height Gauge
* Dial Indicator

✔ Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

## Preferred CNC Controller Experience

* Siemens
* Haas
* Mitsubishi
* Fanuc (Added Advantage)
* Other equivalent CNC/VMC control systems

## Preferred Industry Background
