Job Title: Testing Engineer

Location: Rajkot, Gujarat, India

Job Summary:
Steerway Business Consultants is hiring a Testing Engineer to ensure manufactured products meet quality, safety, and performance standards. This role involves conducting tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform product testing and inspection at various stages of manufacturing.
• Develop and implement test procedures and quality standards.
• Conduct mechanical, electrical, or functional testing depending on the industry.
• Analyze test results and identify defects or deviations.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain detailed records of test data and prepare quality reports.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and safety regulations.
• Calibrate and maintain testing equipment.
• Support root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of quality control processes in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with testing tools and equipment such as gauges, meters, and calipers.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.
• Basic knowledge of statistical quality control (SQC).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Technical skills depending on the industry, including:
  • Mechanical testing (tensile, hardness, fatigue testing).
  • Electrical testing (voltage, current, insulation testing).
• Knowledge of quality tools like Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
• Experience with ERP/QMS systems.

Qualifications:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 0–3 years of experience (Freshers welcome for junior roles).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Quality Control / Six Sigma (Green Belt).
• Experience in manufacturing industries such as automotive, electronics, or machinery.
